The estimated Baluch population in Iran is about four and a half to five million; 300,000 of them live in Hormozgan Province.
Iran is a Multi-ethnic and religious State, but there is no official recording to indicate the ethnic or religious makeup of the State. Iran only promotes one language Persian one culture and one religion and clings to the Aryan race.
Every ten years the government in Iran conducts a census of cities and villages the total population of every city and village is available. These Sensus do not include ethnic and language makeup of the state. Different ethnic groups in Iran use a different method to estimate their population.
The tribal and linguistic loyalties are still alive within some Baluch communities. A big part of the Baluch population in Hormozgan and Kerman are Shiite, in these places, the ethnic and language are the sources of motivation for the Baluch, and easier for others to distinguish the Baluch form no Baluch.
The Persian recognizes the fact that the Baluch are the indigenous people of Kerman and Hormozgan. The Conflict between the Persian and Baluch is historical and goes back to more than 2500 years in Kerman. https://core.ac.uk/download/pdf/12827591.pdf

The Baluch believe that there are more or less around a million Baluch in Kerman, who speak Baluchi as their first language; they also believe that they are the single largest ethnic group in Hormozgan province. The Baluch activists have developed methods in which they can use the official Census to calculate their population. The elections are the times, where tribal and ethnic loyalties are tested, and ethnic and fault lines are exposed.

Below are the lists of the population from the Iranian census of the cities with the Baluch majority in Hormozgan Province, as explained above; the government figures do not include language and ethnicity, Prince Murad Mirzah, of Hormozgan region confirmed in 2015 that these are still Baluch majority regions. The Qureshi (koroshi)

Koroshi tribes are Shiite, and they call themselves the Baluch; they are spread into Shiraz because of their religion, they have not been counted as the Baluch. According to a lecturer at Shiraz university, Koroshi speaks Baluchi with Jaski and Bashgardi accent; they are settled in 32 villages in Hormozgan for centuries; these villages are outside of Jask, Minab, and Srik. The Qureshi (koroshi) and Jat population are much higher than it has been presented.
“Some oral accounts state that, several hundred years ago, the Korosh came from Bampur, Dalgān, Irandegān, and the Lāshār District (all of them near Irānshahr in Sistan and Baluchestan Province), traveling from there along the Makrān coast to the Bandar Abbās area, where a large portion of the tribe has settled. Another group that makes up the Korosh may have come to Bandar Abbās from Rudbār in Kerman Province. From Bandar Abbās, the Korosh then presumably spread out to Fars Province and neighboring areas.”
